Position:
This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join our dedicated engineering team to strengthen our capabilities in new product design and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- New product development from concept design, prototype manufacturing to production
- Perform finite element analysis to predict product performance and optimise designs
- Create 3D models and produce 2D drawings for manufacturing
- Conduct static and dynamic testing to verify product performance
- Carry out vibration and shock analysis using various programmes
- Design test fixtures for product evaluation
- Analysing product test data and writing engineering reports
- Participate in PDR, CDR and DFMEA
- Support sales team with new enquiries
- Support production with existing ranges of products
Essential:
- BSc (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or related subjects
- CAD (Autodesk Inventor or other packages)
- Finite element analysis (ANSYS or other packages)
- Knowledge of vibration would be an advantage
