Engineering Drawing Office Lead

Position:

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic engineer to join our dedicated engineering team to lead the Drawing Office.

Role:  

• Manage workload of Drawing Office and prioritise tasks
• Manage and maintain Product Data Management (PDM) and Product Lifecycle Management tool
• Manage and check engineering drawings, revisions, version control, Engineering Change Notes (ECN), BoM and design drawings release for production
• Create 3D models, produce 2D drawings and maintain high standard of Drawing Office
• Organise and participate in PDRs and CDRs, capture and implement all design changes
• Understand Design for Manufacturing, participate in DFMEA and PFMEA, contribute to product enhancement
• Record Engineering Requests, obtain timescales, organize engineering reviews and update project progresses
• Keep abreast of current engineering practices and standards, materials and finishes, REACH and RoHS, generate and maintain in-house Engineering Standards
• Support sales team with new enquiries
• Support production with existing ranges of products

Essential:

• BSc (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or related subjects
• CAD (Autodesk Inventor or other packages)
• PLM/PDM tool (Autodesk Vault or other packages)
• Experience in design of moulded parts/racking/illuminated displays would be an advantage
